image

Finally get to see this famous tree today…it is in a sad state compared to its former glorious days, after lightning strike in August this year.

But still attracts attention:-)

Trans-Siberian Railway …

a reflection on why I find painting to be such a great activity…

Besides producing something “nice”, I really enjoy the process of building up the picture line by line, dot by dot and the training it affords of noticing both the big picture (overall placement of the train, trees, grass, beach, cliff, sky, sea and clouds) and small details (the slant and length of the lines that make up the train carriages, the little details of the lines that makes a slope become visible, the importance of shadows, etc)! Very glad  that I took up this “new” hobby in 2013 🙂

got a sms from blood bank that I could donate blood again, and so I made my appointment for 6 Nov 2015. Only to be told at interview stage that my recent Mt Bromo visit makes me not eligible until 4 months later from my return!!! Hrmmmphhh

Small consolation is I still got my free parking and light lunch! 🙂
